Needed some cards!!!

You would think I have a ton of cards, well, not really and I like to keep my stash fresh, so... I set out to make some cards to have... need any?  Call me....

This card was inspired by Connie Tumm... she made the original version in Daffodil in a 5x5, but I modified it to a standard cards size and made it with different sentiments and lots of colors... I used most of the new In Colors... LOVE THEM!!!!  Hope you like them.

I used a New Stamp set: Too Kind... this is becoming my favorite of the floral ones... it's a two step stamp set that has endless possibilities...   I had fun making these with my friend Amelia that came over last night... we whipped these out in no time!!

New Catalog samples... Birthday Candles

I decided to make a card a day.... yesterday I made 12 cards to sell... they are so beautiful.... I will put up pictures soon.  I have modified some that were made by others and made them my own.  This Birthday Candles card is my own.... I used new product and some old, but I love it... it is very clean and crisp... hope you like it.

Inside:

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Coastal Cabana (new InColor) and Whisper White
Stamps: new Candles Jumbo Wheel and Remembering  your Birthday saying, retired set: Crazy for Cupcakes for balloon background
Other: From lasts years Holiday Mini: Merry Minis punch pack for the candle... it's actually a xmas ornament, but I used it upside down and perfect flame!!!  These are still available to purchase: item number: 126882... I used the decorative label punch to highlight the sentiment
I used dazzling diamonds glitter for the orange candle and daffodil delight binding ribbon to wrap the candles in.  I also sponged around the sentiment with Daffodil Delight Ink and rolled the candles in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay in the background.  I used Pumpkin Pie for the one candle.  I popped up the center row of candles using dimensionals (foamy sticky pop ups) as with the sentiment.  I stamped the inside with the coordinating stamp that goes with this sentiment.  Great new Birthday stamp set... here is a pic of the supplies used:

The New 2013-2014 Stampin'Up! Catalog is here... see highlights!!

I am so excited that the New Catalog is now available Online for all to purchase!!  YAY!!

If you are interested... here are a few things I found outstanding from the new catalog...

From Front to back:   All Holiday stamps are NOT in this book!!!  I was horrified and going through withdrawals as my most favorite season is not there.. HALLOWEEN... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

The holidays will now be included in the Holiday Mini Book coming in August... ugh!! 3 more months to wait... shaking my head

Ok.. now to the lovelies....

The New Cover

Right off the bat... love the layout of each section... clearly labeled with numbers so you can look at the pic and then below and find what you are looking for right away... nice crisp images and more important... a little bit of each product is outlined on these pages....

I love the new Co'ordination card stock with a lighter center so if you sand the cardstock you get two tones... fun!

Here are the Candy dots and brad bases... the dots come in all color combos and  you get 10 of the same color on each sheet... so 100 per sheet!!  I love Washi tape and finally Stampin'Up! has some!!  Yeah, and they match some of the Designer papers...

Fabulous button additions and new InColor  Boutique details to accent any project..

I love love buttons and especially when they match our card stock... All new designs in the new color combos... can't wait to get some
Finally, there are all the beautiful ribbons to choose from!!

I always get the Ronald McDonald Stamp set... they are a lot of fun and this one is no exception.. gotta have it.

I hope you enjoy paging through the new book... the photos and samples are spectacular... If you are interested in any products... you can shop online 24/7 HERE

Super Baby!!

I volunteered to make a baby shower card for a coworker that is out of state... I should have asked about the theme first... SUPERMAN.... Holy smokes!!!  So, after racking my brain... (and I came up with an alternate... much easier by the way and just as cute)  Go figure.... Here it is... My Super Onsie... flying out of his crib.

Using some retired colors to get it right!  Brilliant Blue and Summer Sun for the outfit and current are the Real Red and Brand Spankin new is the Baked Brown Sugar as one of the InColors this year... love it!!  I used a Cricut onsie cutout for the Onsie and a cape from the vampire in the Paper Dolls cartridge and modified it.  Also used the neck tie from Paper dolls and cut it twice and tapered it to sit on top of itself as a layer... then cut the diamond from the Gem in Little Princess cartridge in 2 different sizes... created my own S as in the samples  I looked up and made my own diaper opening and belt.  I had to add the Kripton planet hanging as a Mobile I guess... I love it.  The Crib I did freestyle and used the Woodgrain background stamp to accent the wood.  The onsie is dimensionalized (is that even a word??).. on top of the crib rail...  I also used the clouds embossing folder.. new this year to make the wall paper.

I was pleased with the results and I hope she likes it... she should get it today or tomorrow.
